i absolutely adore this movie and adore maleficent as well as the lines (the drawn lines) of all the characters.  i had heard that there was some kind of drama around when the film came out having to do with disney’s departure from the aesthetics that it previously had (compare how aurora looks to snow white— these folks are way more angular).  it’s more modern this way… moviesinframes: Sleeping Beauty, 1959 (dir.
